So, EVERYTHING in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has been heart-wrenching this week. I don’t think that anything solidifies that as well as the final few panels from City Fall.
In the comics, we have Leo completely broken down and not knowing who he is any more. Their family is together but not reunites, and it ends with him giving over his Foot Clan equipment to Slash for being their ally. In juxtaposition to that, we have the show, we have Raph being the one stuck on the outside. He can’t save him from the fall, and completely loses Slash as an enemy. He ends up turning to his family for the loss of a friend and has nothing left BUT his brothers.
This week’s been an amazing one for story development, but emotionally rough as hell for us Turtles fans. Hugs all around.
